About Brian's Safehouse, Inc.

Brian's Safehouse, Inc. is a sober living operator in Mount Hope, West Virginia, running six certified recovery residences on a single campus in Raleigh County. The organization houses men and women in separate programs, operates a twelve-month long-term track, and runs a set of graduate houses for people who complete it.

A Southern West Virginia Recovery Housing Provider

Every one of the six residences sits at one address on Reality Road. Running a campus: move a resident between levels of structure without moving them out of their community. A woman who finishes the twelve-month program at Sparrow's Nest steps into Serenity House or Lilly's Pad on the same property, keeping her peer group, her routine and her staff.

Brian's Safehouse Recovery Homes

  • The Safehouse, a ten-bed men's twelve-month program at Level 3.
  • Sparrow's Nest, a seven-bed women's twelve-month program at Level 3.
  • Serenity House, an eight-bed women's residence for program graduates.
  • Lilly's Pad, a three-bed women's residence for program graduates.
  • Stone House, a three-bed men's residence for program graduates.
  • Freeman's Place, a four-bed men's residence for program graduates.

A Twelve-Month Sober Living Program

The two Level 3 programs run twelve months. Length of stay is one of the few variables that consistently predicts how recovery housing works out, and a program that states its duration up front sets an expectation a resident can plan a year around. Neither program requires a deposit. Residents pay thirty percent of income up to a $175 weekly cap, with scholarships available, and use SNAP benefits toward food.

Graduate Recovery Homes and What They Cost

The four graduate residences are open only to people who complete the Level 3 programs. Fees run at $100 a week for the first month and then twenty-five percent of income to a $125 weekly cap, with no deposit. Charging graduates less than the program they came from is a deliberate structure: someone building a deposit for their own place needs the margin most at exactly that point.

Voucher-Eligible Beds and Medication Policy

All six residences are eligible for Recovery Housing Program vouchers, which cover a new low-income resident's first forty-five days at no cost. Vivitrol is accepted across the campus.

Certification Across the Campus

All six residences hold certification from the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences, the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences. Certification is granted address by address and level by level, and this operator carries both Level 3 and Level 2 designations on the same property.
