About this Recovery House

Lilly's Pad is a women's sober living home on Reality Road in Mount Hope, West Virginia, in Raleigh County. Three women live here under Level 2 certification from the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences, open to graduates of Brian's Safehouse's twelve-month program.

A Three-Bed Women's Recovery Home for Graduates

Three beds is the smallest household on the campus, and it is the last step before independent housing. A woman here has completed a year in the Level 3 program and has spent time in the larger graduate residence, and this is where the structure thins out to something close to ordinary shared living with two housemates.

Level 2 Certification and the Step Toward Independence

Level 2 covers monitored recovery housing with structured expectations and clinical care from outside providers. In a three-person household the monitoring is light by necessity, which is why admission is restricted to people who have already proven a year of the operator's most structured program.

What Graduates Pay Here

There is no deposit. The first four weeks run at $100 a week paid biweekly, and from week five the charge is twenty-five percent of income capped at $125 a week. For a working woman in her second year of recovery, that leaves most of a paycheck free for a deposit, arrears or a car.

Medication Policy at This Mount Hope Sober House

Vivitrol is accepted, as it is across all six residences on the campus.

Raleigh County Recovery Housing and the Route 19 Corridor

Mount Hope sits in northern Raleigh County between Beckley and the New River Gorge Bridge, on the Route 19 corridor that carries traffic between Interstate 77 and Interstate 79. Beckley, fifteen miles south, is the county seat and holds the courthouse, the hospitals and the region's outpatient providers. Southern West Virginia has the state's highest overdose rates and the fewest certified recovery beds per head, which is what makes a six-residence campus in a town this size significant.
