About this Recovery House
The H.O.U.S.E. – Tyler is a coed sober house in Webb City, Missouri, in Jasper County, operated by The H.O.U.S.E., Inc., which has run recovery homes in the Joplin area since 1996.
A Coed Sober Living Home North of Joplin
The Tyler house takes men and women. Webb City puts it a few minutes north of Joplin on Route 171, close enough that residents keep jobs, providers and meetings in the larger city while living somewhere quieter and cheaper. That gap is small in miles and meaningful in rent, and a weekly recovery housing fee is easier to carry on a Joplin wage in a Webb City house.
Why Longevity Matters in a Recovery Housing Operator
Sober houses open and close constantly. An operator that has been running since 1996 has proved something no marketing page can: that it can make the finances work, keep neighbors comfortable and stay on good terms with the treatment providers and courts that send it residents. For a family helping somebody choose a Jasper County recovery home from out of state, tenure is one of the few checkable facts available.
The Daily Structure of This Recovery Home
Peer-run housing runs on a short list of expectations that every resident is held to equally: sobriety, the weekly fee, chores, house meetings and productive daytime activity. There is no clinical staff on site and no treatment delivered in the house. That is the design. Residents attend their own programs, keep their own prescribers, and use the house as the fixed point everything else attaches to.
Southwest Missouri Recovery Housing and the Rural Counties Around It
Recovery housing in this part of Missouri is concentrated in the Joplin and Webb City corridor, and people arrive here from Newton, Barton, Barry, Lawrence and McDonald counties because their own towns have nothing. That is the practical function of a Webb City sober house. It is the nearest address where a resident can find work, an outpatient provider, a meeting schedule and a bed inside the same small radius.
Questions for This Webb City Sober House
The operator handles placement across its houses. Ask what the fee covers, whether the deposit is refundable, whether a manager lives on site, how the house responds to a relapse, and whether medication for opioid use disorder is accepted. Recovery residences in Missouri are not licensed by the state, and a well-run house will still put every one of those answers in writing.
