Freddie's House is a men's sober living home in Kansas City, Missouri, in Jackson County, run by Rise and Shine Foundation, Inc. It is the men's residence in the foundation's transitional living program, paired with a women's house, Jessie's House, elsewhere in the city.

A Men's Transitional Living Home

Freddie's House houses men transitioning out of treatment, incarceration or homelessness into a structured living arrangement with 24-hour on-site support. That constant presence is meant to hold residents accountable in the hours between appointments and work, when a less-staffed program would leave them unsupervised.

Life Skills and Employment Support

Rise and Shine Foundation pairs housing at Freddie's House with case management and life skills instruction in budgeting, cooking and communication, plus help connecting residents to employment and education. The program is built around independence as the end goal, not indefinite housing.

One Program, Two Genders

Freddie's House and Jessie's House together make up Rise and Shine Foundation's Kansas City housing, split by gender but run under one case management and life skills program. A referring counselor or family member deals with a single organization regardless of which house fits.
