Serenity Now Counseling and Treatment

About Serenity Now Counseling and Treatment

Serenity Now Counseling and Treatment is a sober living operator based in Portsmouth, Ohio, running certified recovery residences across Scioto County. All twelve of its homes hold current certification from Ohio Recovery Housing.

A Scioto County Recovery Housing Provider

The organization operates housing. Its houses supply structure, peer accountability and a stable address, and residents keep their own outside prescribers, counselors and meetings for clinical care. What the operator controls is that each house runs to the same published standards, whichever address a resident lands at.

Sober Homes in Portsmouth and Wheelersburg

Twelve certified residences carry the Serenity Now name. Ten sit in Portsmouth: Markki's House, Serenity Now Counseling and Treatment, Wilburn House, Lane's House, Ashley's House, Colley's House, Megan's House, Kent's House A, Kent's House B and PJ's House. Two more, Workman Center and Dylan's House, are in Wheelersburg. The cluster stays inside Scioto County, so a transfer between houses does not change the county a resident answers to.

Men's and Women's Sober Living Under One Operator

Most of the roster houses men, and three residences, Markki's House, Ashley's House and Megan's House, are reserved for women. Each house is single-gender, and the operator keeps that separation at the house level.

Managed and Supervised Certification Across These Recovery Residences

Nine of the twelve houses are certified at the Managed level and three, Workman Center, Kent's House A and Kent's House B, carry the more structured Supervised level. Certification is granted residence by residence through Ohio Recovery Housing, so the level can differ from one house to the next under a single operator.

Applying Through This Ohio Sober Living Operator

Street addresses are not published for Ohio recovery residences, and applications go through the operator. With twelve houses across two levels and both genders, one application can be weighed against several options, and a move between houses later is a conversation with people who already know the resident.
