A Five-Bed Women's Sober Living Home in Portsmouth

Five women share the house, and every room, meeting and expectation is built around that one population. The size keeps the group tight enough that residents notice quickly when someone is struggling, which is the practical value of a small household.

What Managed Certification Means for This Sober Home

Managed-level certification through Ohio Recovery Housing pairs peer leadership with staff oversight. The operator commits in writing to a code of ethics, discloses fees and house rules before move-in, keeps a written relapse and discharge policy, and answers to a complaint process outside the house.

Portsmouth and Scioto County Recovery Housing

Portsmouth serves as the seat of Scioto County, where the Scioto River meets the Ohio River. Southern Ohio Medical Center and Shawnee State University are both in the city, putting medical care and coursework within reach without leaving town.
