Kent's House A Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Kent's House A is a men's sober living home in Portsmouth, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Scioto County, housing six men at the Supervised level.

A Supervised Sober Living Home for Six Men

Supervised is Ohio's most structured certification tier, meaning staff stay closely involved in daily house life. Six residents is enough to run a full house routine while staff remain closely engaged, which suits someone who wants more built-in accountability early on.

What Supervised Certification Adds to a Recovery Home

Every certified house carries the same baseline: a published code of ethics, fees and rules disclosed before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and an outside complaint process. The Supervised level adds closer staff involvement in day-to-day house life on top of that baseline.

Portsmouth and Scioto County Recovery Housing

Portsmouth anchors Scioto County as its seat, at the meeting point of the Scioto and Ohio Rivers. Southern Ohio Medical Center and Shawnee State University are both local, and the county courthouse is nearby, keeping most obligations reachable without leaving the city.
