Workman Center Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Workman Center is a men's sober living home in Wheelersburg, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Scioto County.

A Supervised Men's Sober Living Home in Wheelersburg

Eight men live in the house under the Supervised level, Ohio's most structured tier of certified recovery housing. Staff maintain close day-to-day involvement in the household, which suits someone early in recovery who wants more accountability built into the day than a lighter-touch house offers.

What Supervised Certification Adds to a Recovery Residence

Ohio Recovery Housing's Supervised level layers closer staff involvement on top of the same baseline every certified house carries: a published code of ethics, house rules and fees disclosed before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process independent of the house.

Wheelersburg and Scioto County Recovery Housing

Wheelersburg sits along the Ohio River east of Portsmouth, the seat of Scioto County, and residents here are close enough to reach Southern Ohio Medical Center and the county courthouse without a long trip. The community is smaller and quieter than Portsmouth itself, which some residents prefer while rebuilding a routine.
