About this Recovery House

Hope House Ministries is a women's sober living home on Washington Street in Ravenswood, West Virginia, in Jackson County. Four women live here at $100 a week, certified at Level 2 by the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences.

A Four-Bed Women's Recovery Home in Ravenswood

Four beds makes this the smaller and quieter of the operator's two Washington Street houses. Having both a ten-bed and a four-bed residence a few doors apart means a woman can be placed by temperament, and can move between them without changing towns, staff or peer group.

Level 2 Certification and What It Obliges

Level 2 covers monitored recovery housing with structured expectations, where clinical care comes from providers elsewhere. Certification requires the residence to disclose fees and house rules in writing before move-in, hold a written relapse and discharge policy, follow a published code of ethics, and accept complaints reviewed outside the house. Since 2024 West Virginia has tied state referrals and public funding to holding it.

What Residents Pay

The fee is $100 a week from arrival, and the operator helps arrange sponsorships to cover a new resident's opening weeks.

Medication-Assisted Recovery in This Jackson County Sober House

Vivitrol, Sublocade and Brixadi are accepted at both of the operator's addresses.

Jackson County Recovery Housing and the Mid-Ohio Valley

Ravenswood is a river town in northern Jackson County, with Ripley the county seat a short drive east on Interstate 77. Parkersburg is half an hour north and Charleston an hour south, holding the hospitals, the outpatient providers and the courts. Certified women's beds are the scarcest category of recovery housing in West Virginia and rarer still outside the cities, which is what makes a four-bed house in a town this size worth listing on its own.
