About this Recovery House

The Wilson House is a men's sober living home on Tefft Street in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in Wood County. Five men live here under Level 2 certification from the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences, operated by Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home.

A Five-Bed Men's Sober House in Parkersburg

Five residents makes this one of the smaller houses in the fellowship home's six-address portfolio. The scale suits a man who does poorly in a large household or who is further along and wants quiet. Tefft Street sits in the residential grid on Parkersburg's south side, a few blocks from the organization's larger men's residence on George Street.

Level 2 Certification and What It Requires

Level 2 in West Virginia's framework describes monitored recovery housing with structured expectations and clinical care from outside providers. Certification obliges the residence to hand an applicant its fees and house rules in writing before move-in, keep a written relapse and discharge policy, follow a published code of ethics, and accept complaints reviewed outside the household. West Virginia law now makes that certification the condition for state referrals and public funds.

The Fee Structure at This Wood County Recovery Home

A $100 processing fee is due at move-in, with $300 a month in program fees until SNAP benefits are in place. The schedule is the same across the fellowship home's houses.

Medication Support in This Parkersburg Sober Living Home

Medication for opioid use disorder is accepted. The policy holds across all six of the operator's residences, so a man moving between houses never has to renegotiate it.

Wood County Recovery Housing and the County Seat

Parkersburg is the seat of Wood County and the largest city in the Mid-Ohio Valley, holding the courthouse, Camden Clark Medical Center, the university campus and most of the region's employment. The fellowship home's six houses sit within a short walk of each other on the south side, which means a resident who transfers between them keeps everything else in his life where it is.
