Redemption Recovery Ministries, Inc. Yahweh House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

The Yahweh House is a men's recovery residence on Denmark Drive in Charleston, West Virginia, the state capital and seat of Kanawha County. Twelve men live here at $150 a week under Level 2 certification from the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences.

A Twelve-Bed Men's Sober House in Western Charleston

Denmark Drive sits in Charleston's western neighborhoods beyond the downtown grid, a suburban residential area. Twelve beds is enough for a working household with real accountability. The ministry runs a second house of the same size on the same street.

What Level 2 Certification Establishes

Level 2 describes monitored recovery housing with structured expectations, where clinical services come from providers elsewhere in the valley. Certification commits the residence to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and complaints reviewed outside the household. Church-based recovery housing is widespread in West Virginia and unevenly regulated, which makes certification the substantive claim on this listing.

Entry Fee and Weekly Cost

A non-refundable $300 entry fee at move-in, then $150 a week.

Medication-Assisted Recovery in This Kanawha County Recovery Home

Residents on medication for opioid use disorder are accepted at both of the ministry's addresses. Charleston carries the widest range of prescribers in southern West Virginia.

Charleston Recovery Housing and the State Capital

Charleston holds the Kanawha County Courthouse, the family court, the state Capitol, Charleston Area Medical Center and the transit authority serving the whole valley. Kanawha County has more certified recovery residences than any other county in West Virginia, and the reason is that everything a man in early recovery has to do can be done inside the city limits.
