Redemption Recovery Ministries, Inc. is a men's sober living home on Denmark Drive in Charleston, West Virginia, in Kanawha County. Twelve men live here at $150 a week, certified at Level 2 by the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences.

A Men's Recovery Home on Denmark Drive

This is the ministry's second twelve-bed house on the same street, a few doors from the first. Two matched households under one operator on one block gives residents a wider community than either house alone while keeping each one small enough to run as a household. Denmark Drive sits in Charleston's western neighborhoods away from the downtown corridors.

Level 2 Certification and Faith-Based Recovery Housing

Level 2 covers monitored recovery housing with structured expectations and clinical care delivered by outside providers. Certification requires written fee and rule disclosure before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, adherence to a published code of ethics, and complaints reviewed outside the residence. Since 2024, West Virginia has required every recovery residence to register with the state and made certification the condition for referrals and public funds.

What Residents Pay

A non-refundable $300 entry fee and $150 a week, the same terms as the ministry's other house.

Medication Support at This Charleston Sober House

Residents on medication for opioid use disorder are accepted at both addresses.

Kanawha County Recovery Homes and the Valley

Charleston is the state capital and the seat of Kanawha County, at the center of a valley running from Saint Albans to Montgomery. The county courthouse, the family court, Charleston Area Medical Center, the Capitol complex and Kanawha Valley Regional Transportation all sit inside the city, which is why the county carries the largest share of West Virginia's certified recovery beds.
