About this Recovery House

Nebraska is a men's sober living home in St. Louis, Missouri, one of four Mission Gate Ministry guest houses serving men in the city.

A Men's Sober House in St. Louis

Nebraska houses men working through Mission Gate Ministry's recovery program inside the city of St. Louis, apart from the ministry's ranch properties farther west and south. That urban footprint keeps a resident within reach of bus lines, entry-level employers and outpatient clinics without a car.

A Long-Term Faith-Based Program

Mission Gate Ministry runs Nebraska on the same phased, Christian residential model used at its other houses. Men move through the program on a timeline built around progress, with no fixed calendar, with family reunification as an explicit goal by the later phases.

St. Louis as a Recovery Housing Hub

As Missouri's largest city and an independent city-county, St. Louis concentrates the treatment providers, courts and transit that a rural Missouri placement lacks. Men referred to Nebraska from detox or incarceration elsewhere in the region often land here specifically for that access.

Missouri Sober Living Certification

Missouri recovery residence certification through the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers is voluntary. Nebraska's operator, Mission Gate Ministry, is a certified-eligible organization running homes in four Missouri counties.

Sister Houses Under Mission Gate Ministry

Nebraska sits alongside Louisiana, Osage and Daniel's House, the three other men's guest houses Mission Gate Ministry runs in St. Louis, and the ministry's rural men's properties in Cuba and Sullivan for anyone whose recovery is better served outside the city.

ABOUT US Mission Gate offers programs at facilities for men both in rural Missouri and in the City of St. Louis. Our nine-month (or longer) programs help men begin new lives through Christ and prepare to be reunited with their families. We accept men who are newly released from prison or coming out of addiction, who understand that Mission Gate is a Christ-centered program, and who have submitted an application.
