A Sober House Built for Reentry

Peace House is the second of Journey to New Life's two Kansas City residences, together holding 36 beds. The program runs on a four-to-six-month peer-led phase, and residents get daily living support, community-resource access and employment services alongside the housing itself. A case manager stays involved through the transition to independent living, and support continues after a resident graduates from the program.

What MCRSP Certification Establishes in Missouri

Certification is optional for a Missouri sober home, and Journey to New Life carries it at Peace House through the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers. That means a published code of ethics, written disclosure of rules and fees before move-in, and a complaint channel outside the house.

Peace House operates alongside Journey House under the same organization, which means a resident who needs a different setting can raise it with people already familiar with her case.
