12 Step Education Program of New England Men's Sober House

About this Sober House

12 Step Education Program of New England is a men's sober living home on Old Cambridge Road in Woburn, Massachusetts, in Middlesex County. It holds MASH certification at NARR Level II and has capacity for up to 50 residents, making it one of the larger certified sober houses in the area.

A Large Men's Sober House in Woburn

A program built to house 50 men runs differently than a small single-family sober house. Structure and staffing have to scale, and residents get the benefit of a larger peer community working through recovery together. Old Cambridge Road sits within Woburn's residential fabric, a city just north of Boston along the Middlesex Turnpike corridor.

What NARR Level II Certification Requires

Certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing obligates the operator to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, and a documented relapse and discharge policy. At a program of this size, that written record matters even more, since more residents rely on the same published standards.

Part of a Two-Location Program

12 Step Education Program of New England also runs a second, larger location in Billerica, and the same operator name and certification apply at both addresses. A resident who starts in Woburn is part of a program with a presence in two Middlesex County communities.

Recovery Housing in Woburn and Middlesex County

Woburn sits in Middlesex County, the state's most populous, just off the major highway corridors north of Boston. That location gives residents ready access to outpatient providers, 12-step meetings and public transportation without a long commute into the city.
