479 Green Street Coed Sober House

About this Sober House

479 Green Street is a coed sober living home on Green Street in Weymouth, Massachusetts, in Norfolk County.

A Coed Sober House in Weymouth

This sober house takes both men and women in recovery from a residential address in Weymouth, a South Shore town along the Fore River. Weymouth's location gives residents access to Route 3 and the MBTA Greenbush and Middleborough lines, opening up Boston's job market without a long commute.

Voluntary Sober Living Certification in Massachusetts

Massachusetts does not require sober homes to certify, and the law behind the state's voluntary program, M.G.L. c.17 s.18A, allows an uncertified house to operate and advertise lawfully. The Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing runs that certification, and a house that holds it has agreed to written fees and rules and an outside complaint process.

Recovery Housing in Weymouth and Norfolk County

Weymouth is one of Norfolk County's larger towns, with outpatient behavioral health providers and hospital-based care nearby in South Weymouth. That density of care matters for a resident who needs regular appointments alongside stable housing.

What to Ask Before Moving Into This Weymouth Sober House

This Green Street house is not currently listed with the state's certification program, so a prospective resident should ask directly for house rules, fees and the relapse policy in writing before committing to a move-in date.
