Cibosty Homes Men's Sober House

About this Sober House

Cibosty Homes is a certified men's sober house on Beacon Street in Haverhill, Massachusetts, in Essex County. The residence is certified through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing.

A Men's Sober House on Beacon Street

Twenty men live at this Haverhill address, a sizable household on a street in one of the city's older residential sections. Haverhill is a mill city on the Merrimack River, and its downtown and riverside neighborhoods still carry the brick industrial buildings that once anchored the shoe manufacturing trade the city was built on.

What MASH Certification Establishes

Certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing commits this house to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, a relapse and discharge policy, and an outside complaint process. Certification remains voluntary in Massachusetts, so this house has taken on obligations an uncertified rental has not.

Recovery Housing in Haverhill, Essex County

Haverhill sits along the Merrimack River near the New Hampshire border, and its downtown commuter rail stop connects residents to Lawrence, Lowell and Boston without requiring a car. Essex County's outpatient treatment network is concentrated in these Merrimack Valley cities, which keeps a Haverhill sober house within reach of care.

Reaching Cibosty Homes in Haverhill

Applications go directly through the operator. Before moving in, it is worth asking what the weekly fee covers, whether a house manager lives on site, how bedrooms are assigned, and what the relapse and discharge policy says. A certified sober house has to answer those questions in writing.
