Sean's Place is a men's transitional sober home in Ludlow, Massachusetts, in Hampden County. It is operated by the Michael J Dias Foundation, the same nonprofit behind Michael's House and Christian and Brian's House in nearby Springfield.

A Transitional Sober House for Graduates

Sean's Place is not a first stop. It is a self-governing Social Model Transitional residence reserved for men who have already completed one of the Foundation's MASH-certified sober living homes and are ready to advance with less day-to-day structure while still living among peers in recovery. It acts as a sanctuary for men who want to keep the camaraderie and accountability of a structured house while gaining more independence.

Named for a Life Lost to Addiction

The house opened in early 2019 as the Foundation's second sober-living residence, named in honor of Sean Wilczynski, a Ludlow native remembered by the Foundation for his humor and his ability to connect with people, before his death in 2016.

Recovery Housing in Ludlow, Hampden County

Ludlow sits just east of Springfield in Hampden County, and its position keeps Sean's Place within reach of the same outpatient providers and job market that serve the Foundation's Springfield houses. A resident moving from a certified Foundation house into Sean's Place keeps that regional network intact even as the level of structure changes.

One Step in a Three-House Foundation

Sean's Place completes a continuum the Michael J Dias Foundation built around Michael's House and Christian and Brian's House, both certified men's residences in Springfield. Together, the three houses give a man a path from structured early recovery to a more independent transitional stage without leaving the organization that has supported him.
