A Men's Sober House in Dorchester

The house sits in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood in a fully renovated building with spacious double rooms and a shared community kitchen. This sober house in Boston serves men in recovery, and the operator describes its community as known for respectfulness, aiming to create a secure environment for residents working through early sobriety together.

What MASH Certification Establishes

Certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing, the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, commits the house to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and an outside complaint process. MASH certifies under NARR Level II. For someone comparing options from outside Massachusetts, that record is a real signal to check.

Screening and Structure at Capen Street

Eco Sober House screens residents through interviews before move-in and runs routine alcohol and drug testing to keep the house substance-free. Curfews and mandatory meetings apply, along with the operator's broader support toward job placement and reintegration.
