Nugen's Ranch Coed Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Nugen's Ranch is a recovery residence on West Point MacKenzie Road in Wasilla, Alaska, serving adults in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. The Municipality of Anchorage's behavioral health referral guidance records 26 beds for men and women.

It is one of the longest-standing residential recovery settings in the Valley and one of the larger ones by bed count.

Where This Wasilla Recovery Home Sits

Point MacKenzie Road runs west out of Wasilla toward Knik Arm, well away from the town's commercial strip. Putting physical distance between a resident and the places tied to active use is one of the oldest and most reliable moves in early recovery, and the geography here does that work without taking anyone off the road system.

Capacity At This Recovery Residence

Twenty-six beds is substantial for the Mat-Su Valley, where residential recovery capacity has historically lagged well behind need. Scale here means fewer people waiting.

Who This Sober House Serves

The program houses both men and women. In a borough with limited options, a residence that can take either avoids sending people to Anchorage or further afield simply for a matching bed.

Matanuska-Susitna Borough Recovery Housing And Access

Wasilla sits about 45 minutes north of Anchorage on the road system. Residents remain within a manageable drive of the state's largest concentration of specialist medical care, outpatient providers and employers while living somewhere quieter and considerably less expensive.
