Genesis Recovery Services Coed Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Genesis Recovery Services is a sober living provider in Anchorage, Alaska, operating in the Municipality of Anchorage. It offers residential treatment, outpatient services and a sober living environment from the same organization.

Apartments are available for rent as part of its recovery housing, which gives residents a degree of independence that a shared bedroom does not.

A Full Range Of Recovery Housing And Care

Because in-house residential treatment, outpatient services and sober living all sit under one roof here, a person can move between levels without switching providers. In Alaska that continuity is rare and worth something, since the alternative is often a new intake process in a new city.

Apartment-Style Sober Living In Anchorage

Renting an apartment inside a recovery setting sits between residential treatment and living entirely alone. Residents practice paying rent, keeping a place and managing their own time while support is still close at hand.

What This Anchorage Recovery Residence Aims At

The stated goal is that residents leave with the skills needed to avoid relapse. Skills, in this context, means the ordinary machinery of an independent life, which is exactly what tends to be missing after a long period of active use.
