The York Street residence admits only people between eighteen and twenty-four who carry a diagnosis of opioid or stimulant use disorder. Age-specific recovery housing is rare in West Virginia and it addresses a real problem: a twenty-year-old placed in a house of men in their forties is usually the youngest person in the building by fifteen years, and the gap shapes everything from what gets talked about to what a resident is willing to admit.

SNAP-Based Fees and What They Mean
