A Putnam County Recovery Housing Provider

Putnam County sits between Charleston and Huntington on the Interstate 64 corridor, the fastest-growing county in southern West Virginia and one with relatively little certified recovery housing of its own. These two houses sit in Nitro on the Kanawha River, close enough to both cities that a resident can work in either while living outside both.

Two Sober Houses at Matched Scale

Both houses are close to the same size and both carry Level 2 certification. Rather than a step-down structure, the pair gives the ministry two comparable households and the room to move a man between them when a household is not working for reasons unconnected to his recovery.

A $300 entry fee at move-in and $125 a week thereafter, identical at both addresses.

Certification and Medication Policy

Both residences hold Level 2 certification from the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences, the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, describing monitored housing with structured expectations and clinical care from outside providers. Faith-based recovery housing is common in West Virginia and much of it is uncertified, so certification is what puts these two houses inside a published code of ethics and an external complaint process.
