Simply Grace

About Simply Grace

Simply Grace is a sober living operator based in Richardson, Texas, running certified recovery housing for women across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Anika Cooper founded the nonprofit in 2011 after addiction affected her own family, and it has grown into a network of five homes serving women in Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Richardson.

A Women-Only Sober Living Operator in North Texas

Every Simply Grace home is single-gender, and the organization runs housing, clinical support and a thrift store enterprise under one roof. Licensed staff, including counselors credentialed as LCSW-S, LCDC and LMSW, deliver individual counseling and weekly life skills groups, and an intensive outpatient program sits alongside the housing itself, so a resident's clinical care and her address come from the same organization.

Serving Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Richardson

The Simply Grace network includes five sober living homes for women:

  • Simply Grace House, on Arapaho Road in Richardson.
  • The Colmar House, in Plano.
  • The Evans House, in Plano.
  • The Cromwell House, in Dallas.
  • The Fort Worth House, in Fort Worth.

The spread across four cities keeps every home within the same regional job market and outpatient network, so moving between houses does not mean starting over in a new part of the Metroplex.

A Levels-Based Program Across Every Home

Simply Grace holds every resident to the same core requirements regardless of address: an active sponsor and step work, thirty hours a week in employment, school or volunteering, and daily alcohol testing backed by random weekly drug screens. Residents advance through defined levels as they show stability, and one home in the network is set up specifically to house mothers with children between two and twelve.

TROHN Certification Across the Network

Several Simply Grace homes hold Level II certification through TROHN, the Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network, which is voluntary under Texas law but binds a certified residence to a published code of ethics, written fee and rule disclosure, and a relapse and discharge policy subject to outside review.

Recovery Housing for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Richardson, Plano, Dallas and Fort Worth together make up one of the largest job markets in Texas, and Simply Grace's spread across all four means a resident is never far from outpatient care, courts or an entry-level employer. That density is a practical asset for a nonprofit whose program leans on residents finding work or school within thirty days.

One Application, Five Sober Living Homes

Applications go through Simply Grace itself. A woman accepted into the program is placed at whichever home fits her situation, including the home reserved for mothers with young children, and a transfer between homes stays inside an organization that already knows her case history and her progress through the levels system.
