A Brotherhood-Driven Recovery Housing Provider

Holistic House describes its program as brotherhood-driven, built around a three-stage structure that moves residents from a thirty-day foundation period through a stability phase and into an independence phase focused on self-sufficiency. The same framework runs across all three of its Lancaster houses.

All three sit within Lancaster's compact downtown core, close enough that residents across the network share access to the same outpatient providers and public services.

Licensed Under Pennsylvania's Act 59

The Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs licenses all three Holistic House properties as recovery houses under Act 59 of 2017. Licensure in Pennsylvania is voluntary, and the operator applies the same license consistently across its entire portfolio.

A Structured Three-Stage Program

Every Holistic House resident moves through the same three stages: thirty days of foundation and structure, a thirty-to-sixty-day stability phase with more independence, and an ongoing phase past sixty days built around accountability. Weekly house meetings, randomized drug testing and an internal habit-tracking system called Growth Addicts Anonymous run through all three houses, along with an expectation that residents find work.

Separate Housing for Men and Women

Holistic House keeps its men's and women's housing at separate addresses. Men apply to the North Shippen Street or West Strawberry Street houses, and women apply to the East End Avenue house, so every shared space at each address serves one population.

Fees Across the Holistic House Network

Holistic House publishes the same fee structure at all three properties: a one-time $225 onboarding fee, $190 a week for a shared room, and $225 a week for a single, with utilities, internet, furnishings and laundry included.

Lancaster is the seat of Lancaster County and one of south-central Pennsylvania's larger cities, with a compact downtown that keeps courts, outpatient treatment and public transit within reach of all three Holistic House addresses.
