Serenity Inns Alumni House is a men's recovery residence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in Milwaukee County, run by Serenity Inns as a step-down option for men who have completed its residential program.

A Faith-Based, Three-Stage Recovery Model

Serenity Inns builds its program around three stages it calls Recovery, Stability and Spirit: supportive living with therapy and group sessions, followed by employment and career building, followed by faith-based practices and community service. Alumni House exists for men moving through the later stages of that progression.

Admission Standards Rooted in ASAM Criteria

Serenity Inns admits men who meet ASAM criteria for residential treatment, are at least 18, are employable and able to work full time, and have a minimum of three days of verified clean time. That bar keeps the household oriented toward men ready to work the program instead of in acute crisis.

A Milwaukee Recovery Provider Serving Men

Serenity Inns opened a new residential treatment facility in September 2024 and runs a capital campaign supporting its continued growth. Alumni House gives graduates of that program a next step that keeps them connected to the same organization and peer network.

Recovery Housing in Milwaukee County

Milwaukee County holds the largest concentration of recovery housing in Wisconsin, and Serenity Inns operates inside that same network, drawing on the county's AODA treatment centers, detox facilities and the Milwaukee County Transit System.

What Wisconsin Sober Living Certification Would Add

Serenity Inns does not currently appear on the Wisconsin Association of Sober Housing's certified list. Wisconsin certifies no recovery residence by state law, so its absence here does not reflect on how the program is actually run, only that this particular outside record does not exist for it yet.
