About this Recovery House

Linda's House is a women's recovery residence on Laird Avenue in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the seat of Wood County. Five women live here under Level 2 certification from the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences, operated by Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home.

A Small Women's Sober House in the Mid-Ohio Valley

Five beds in a single-gender house produces a household where everyone matters and nobody is anonymous. Laird Avenue runs through Parkersburg's south side residential district, within a few blocks of the operator's other five addresses. For a woman leaving treatment in the Mid-Ohio Valley, certified beds are scarce enough that a five-bed house represents a real share of the county's women's capacity.

Level 2 Certification for Women's Recovery Housing

Level 2 covers monitored recovery housing with structured expectations, where clinical services come from providers elsewhere. Certification requires written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, adherence to a published code of ethics, and complaints reviewed outside the house. Those obligations are what a woman choosing sober living from inside a treatment program can actually check.

What It Costs to Move In

A $100 processing fee at move-in, then $300 a month in program fees until SNAP benefits are established. Tying the fee to benefit enrollment is a practical accommodation for someone arriving with no income.

Medication-Assisted Recovery for Women in Wood County

Medication for opioid use disorder is accepted. Women on buprenorphine or methadone are the hardest population to place in West Virginia sober living, and every one of this operator's six houses accommodates it.

Parkersburg Recovery Homes and the Surrounding Counties

Parkersburg holds the Wood County Courthouse, the family court, Camden Clark Medical Center and West Virginia University at Parkersburg, and it serves as the regional center for Wirt, Ritchie, Pleasants and Jackson counties. Women coming out of treatment in those smaller counties consistently find that Parkersburg is the nearest place where a job, a court obligation and an appointment can all be reached in the same week.
