About this Recovery House

Hearthstone Family Living is a coed recovery residence on Lynn Street in Parkersburg, West Virginia, in Wood County. Ten residents live here under Level 2 certification from the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences, operated by Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home.

Coed Recovery Housing in Parkersburg

This is the only coed address in the fellowship home's six-house portfolio, and the only one that steps outside the single-gender model the organization uses everywhere else. Ten residents share the house. Coed certified recovery housing is uncommon in West Virginia, and where it exists it usually serves people who are further along and living more independently.

Level 2 Certification and What It Obliges

Level 2 describes monitored recovery housing with structured expectations and clinical care delivered by outside providers. Certification through the state alliance requires the residence to disclose fees and rules in writing before move-in, hold a written relapse and discharge policy, follow a published code of ethics, and accept complaints reviewed outside the house.

Fees at This Wood County Sober Living Home

A $100 processing fee applies at move-in, with a share of income going toward the program fee thereafter. Income-based fees mean the charge tracks what a resident is actually earning, which suits a household where people are at different points in getting back to work.

Medication Support in This Recovery Home

Residents on medication for opioid use disorder are accepted, matching the operator's policy across all six addresses.

Parkersburg, Wood County and the Fellowship Home Cluster

Lynn Street sits in Parkersburg's south side alongside the operator's five other certified houses. The city is the seat of Wood County and the largest in the Mid-Ohio Valley, holding the courthouse, Camden Clark Medical Center, the university campus and the transit that connects them. Residents who move between the fellowship home's houses stay inside the same few blocks, which keeps a job, a bus route and a meeting schedule intact through a change of address.
