About this Recovery House

981 S White Station is a coed sober house in Memphis, Tennessee, in Shelby County, and the third of three houses White Station Sober Houses runs on this street.

A Coed Recovery Home on White Station Road

The house sits in East Memphis along a corridor of residential streets feeding into Poplar Avenue, where grocery stores, pharmacies and outpatient offices cluster within a short drive. Coed housing means the house rules govern a shared population of men and women instead of one gender. It appeals to residents who would rather not be sorted by gender at all.

Certification and Tennessee's Recovery Residence Law

Under Tennessee's Public Chapter 406, recovery residences in the state are expected to hold certification through the Tennessee Alliance of Recovery Residences or through Recovery is the New High. That standard commits a house to a written code of ethics, disclosed rules and fees, and outside review of complaints.

Memphis and Shelby County Recovery Housing

As the seat of Shelby County and the hub of West Tennessee, Memphis carries the treatment providers, courts and transit that a resident coming out of treatment relies on. White Station Road's location inside that city keeps those resources within reach.
