Balkan Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Balkan is a men's sober living home in Toledo, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and located in Lucas County, with five beds certified at the Managed level.

A Five-Bed Men's Sober Living Home

Five residents share the house, and the population stays men only across every shared space, from meetings to common areas. Balkan is one of several houses Vital Health LLC runs under similar terms across Toledo.

What Managed-Level Certification Establishes for a Recovery Residence

Ohio Recovery Housing certifies the house at the Managed level, meaning peer leadership with staff oversight added, while clinical and medical care remain with outside providers residents already see. Certification requires a written code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint channel independent of the house.

The street address is not published, and Vital Health LLC arranges placement directly. Ask what the fee covers, whether the house carries staff coverage, how the relapse policy works, and how a complaint reaches someone outside the house.
