Harley's House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Harley's House is a certified men's sober living home in Port Clinton, Ohio, in Ottawa County, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing at the Peer-Run level.

Peer-Run Certification at This Men's Sober House

The Peer-Run level puts primary responsibility for the household in residents' own hands, with structure and accountability coming from the residents as a group, without live-in staff directing daily life. Ohio Recovery Housing certification still requires a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process that runs outside the house.

Six Beds in a Self-Governed Recovery Home

Six beds keeps the household small enough for a peer-run model to work, where residents are expected to hold each other accountable without a manager mediating daily disagreements.

Port Clinton and Ottawa County Recovery Housing

Port Clinton is the seat of Ottawa County on the Lake Erie shore, a small city with its own courts and outpatient treatment providers outside the seasonal ferry traffic to Put-in-Bay. A resident here keeps access to those services year-round.
