Grand Canyon House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Grand Canyon House is a men's sober living home in Columbus, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Franklin County.

A Men's Sober House With Six Beds

The house holds six men, and the single-gender household means meetings, chores and shared space are organized around one population. Six is a deliberate number: it is easier for a household that size to hold each other accountable than for a much larger house to do the same.

What This Recovery Residence Does Not Offer

The building is not wheelchair accessible. It is a plain fact about the property, and one worth knowing before applying.

Managed-Level Recovery Housing Certification, Explained

Ohio Recovery Housing certifies the house at the Managed level, meaning peer leadership inside the house operates under outside oversight. Certification requires a published code of ethics, fees and house rules disclosed before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process that runs outside the house itself, standards Ohio Recovery Housing enforces across every residence it certifies.

Franklin County and Columbus Civic Geography for This Sober Home

Columbus is Ohio's capital and the seat of Franklin County, home to Ohio State University, the county's municipal and common pleas courts, and John Glenn Columbus International Airport. COTA buses connect most of the city, so a resident without a car still has a path to court, treatment and work.
