SRH Rentschler Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

SRH Rentschler is a men's sober living home in Akron, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Summit County. Ten men share the household, and the single-gender arrangement is the house's whole population rule.

A Men's Sober House With One Shared Rule

Because the house is exclusively men, meetings, shared space and house expectations are written for one population instead of split across two. A resident is never the only man in a mixed building, and the small scale of a ten-bed household means people notice when someone is struggling before it becomes a crisis.

What Supervised Certification Requires of This Recovery Residence

Ohio Recovery Housing certification obliges a published code of ethics, fees and rules disclosed before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process that answers to someone outside the house. Rentschler holds the Supervised level, naming the oversight built into its daily structure.

Downtown Akron Recovery Housing

Akron is the seat of Summit County, and its downtown core carries the Akron Municipal Court and the region's METRO Regional Transit Authority hub, giving a resident without a car a practical way to reach work, court dates or appointments across the city.

Applying to This Akron Sober Living Home

The street address is not published, and placement runs through the operator. Ask about the weekly fee, how bedrooms are assigned among ten residents, what triggers the relapse and discharge policy, and how a complaint is escalated past the house.
