About this Sober House

Adult & Teen Challenge Missoula Women's Campus is a women's recovery residence in Missoula, Montana, in Missoula County. The residential program holds certification through Recovery Access Montana and houses up to twenty women in a long-term, faith-based recovery and discipleship program operated by Adult & Teen Challenge PacWest.

A Women's Recovery Residence West of Missoula

The campus sits on South 7th Street West, about ten miles outside downtown Missoula, a distance that removes residents from the routines and contacts tied to their addiction while keeping the city within reach for family visits and aftercare planning. Western Montana's largest city surrounds the campus with the outpatient providers, courts and social services a woman moving through a long-term program eventually needs to reconnect with.

What Recovery Access Montana Certification Establishes

Certification through Recovery Access Montana, the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, commits a residence to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, and an outside complaint process. Montana does not require a sober living home to certify, so a residence that has chosen to is one a family can check before enrolling someone from out of state.

A Long-Term, Faith-Based Program Structure

Women admitted to the Missoula campus enter a residential, long-term recovery and discipleship program built around a Christ-centered curriculum. Vocational training runs alongside the daily program, giving residents work experience they carry past graduation. Capacity is set at twenty women, small enough that staff know every resident's progress through the program instead of managing a caseload.

Recovery Housing in Missoula County

Missoula is the seat of Missoula County and the commercial and medical center of western Montana. A woman completing a long-term residential program here has a full continuum of outpatient counseling, medical care and eventual housing options in the same county once she is ready to transition out of structured living.

Part of the Adult & Teen Challenge Network in Montana

The Missoula campus is one of two Adult & Teen Challenge PacWest residences in Montana. The organization also runs a men's residence, the Billings Men's Campus, on King Avenue West in Billings. Both are single-gender campuses inside a larger regional network of Adult & Teen Challenge centers across the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain states.
