About this Sober House

Adult & Teen Challenge Billings Men's Campus is a men's recovery residence in Billings, Montana, in Yellowstone County. The campus holds certification through Recovery Access Montana, and men admitted to the program enter a residential curriculum that runs twelve to eighteen months.

A Men's Sober Living Campus West of Billings

The campus sits on King Avenue West, on five acres west of Billings with access to Highway 3 and Interstate 90. That room gives space for the work projects that make up part of daily programming, while the highway and interstate access keep the property connected to the rest of south-central Montana. Men accepted into the program are adults eighteen and older, and the center also connects residents to outpatient substance use counseling through its Life Renewal program once they are ready for it.

What Recovery Access Montana Certification Establishes

Certification through Recovery Access Montana, Montana's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, binds a residence to a published code of ethics, written fee and rule disclosure before intake, and outside review of complaints. Adult & Teen Challenge centers separately go through an internal accreditation review every three years, a second layer that sits alongside the state certification.

A Twelve to Eighteen Month Residential Structure

The program runs individual and group biblical study, work projects, education and recreation across a stay that typically lasts twelve to eighteen months. That length is long by sober living standards, and it is the trade a resident makes for a highly structured, faith-based curriculum over a shorter stay in lighter-touch housing.

Recovery Housing in Billings and Yellowstone County

Billings is the largest city in Montana and the seat of Yellowstone County, giving the campus access to a full range of medical, legal and social services without leaving the county. Men coming out of treatment or incarceration elsewhere in south-central Montana find Billings recovery housing to be the regional option with the most services within reach.

Part of the Adult & Teen Challenge Network in Montana

The Billings campus is one of two Adult & Teen Challenge PacWest residences in the state. The organization also operates the Missoula Women's Campus, a women's residence west of Missoula. Together the two form Adult & Teen Challenge's presence in a much larger regional network of centers across the Pacific Northwest and Rockies.
