Healing House and New Beginnings is a coed sober living home in Jefferson City, Missouri, in Cole County, on 4th Street a few blocks from the Missouri River.

A Christian Recovery Ministry on 4th Street

Healing House and New Beginnings runs its residence at 927 4th Street as a faith-based recovery ministry, built around a program the ministry calls its Program of Action. Residents live under spiritual principles drawn from Christian teaching alongside the structure common to any recovery residence: shared housing, house rules and accountability to the people living there with them.

Founded by Someone Who Lived the Program

Heather Gieck founded the ministry after her own release from incarceration and completion of a faith-based twelve-step program, where she served as a house manager before starting her own residence. That background shapes how the house is run: the rules come from someone who has already been a resident and a manager under the same model.

MCRSP Certification in Missouri

Healing House and New Beginnings is accredited through the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers, the state's NARR affiliate. Missouri does not require certification of a recovery residence, so a house that carries it has chosen to work under a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and outside complaint review, on top of anything the ministry asks on faith grounds.

Recovery Housing in Jefferson City and Cole County

Jefferson City is both the seat of Cole County and the capital of Missouri, which puts state offices, the county courthouse and a concentration of outpatient and social service providers within a few miles of the house. A resident working through a faith-based recovery program in Jefferson City has courts, benefits offices and treatment providers within the same small footprint as the ministry itself.

ABOUT US Our mission is to rebuild shattered lives through a "Program of Action" by teaching spiritual principles which are rooted and grounded in the Holy and Living Word of God. Residents will be provided safe and affordable housing at the Healing House and New Beginnings. They will be assisted with searching and securing employment.As they attend Life Skills classes based upon their needs. Accommodations will be provided for 8 men and 11 women residents plus the house managers.
