Atlantic House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Atlantic House is a men's sober living home in Branson, Missouri, one of Standing by the Door Ministries' residences for men working through its recovery program.

Housing Tied to a Six-Month Recovery Program

Men living at Atlantic House are enrolled in Standing by the Door's program, a twelve-step, faith-based track that runs for six months. The program bundles housing with transportation, classes and support, so a resident is not assembling those pieces from separate providers around Branson.

A Faith-Based Structure

Standing by the Door frames its recovery work in explicitly Christian terms, and Atlantic House operates inside that framework alongside the ministry's other properties. The combination of twelve-step work and faith-based teaching is the model across every house the ministry runs, not something specific to one address.

Branson's Economy and What It Means for Residents

Branson is built around tourism and live entertainment, an economy that produces steady entry-level and seasonal work but concentrates it along the Highway 76 corridor, away from residential areas. The ministry's provided transportation closes that distance for residents at Atlantic House who do not yet have a car.

A Men's Residence in Taney County

Atlantic House sits in Taney County, where Branson is the largest city and Forsyth is the county seat. It is one of several men's houses Standing by the Door operates in the area, alongside the ministry's separate women's residences.
