A Coed Sober House on Breed Street

Eighteen residents live at this Lynn address, men and women together under one set of house rules and separate sleeping space. Breed Street sits in a residential section of Lynn within walking distance of the city's retail corridor, which matters for a resident without a car who still needs groceries, a pharmacy and a bus stop nearby.

Rules and Support at This Harwood Sober Living Home

Harwood's zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy applies here, enforced with testing twice a week and a manager living on site. Residents attend recovery meetings of their choosing, share household chores, and take part in house meetings. The property is furnished and includes wifi, laundry and off-street parking.

Why MASH Certification Matters

The Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing certifies this address on the condition that it publishes a code of ethics, discloses its fees and rules in writing, maintains a relapse and discharge policy, and accepts outside review of complaints. Certification is voluntary in Massachusetts, so holding it is a choice the operator has made at every address it runs.

Coed Recovery Housing in Lynn

A coed house gives Harwood Houses flexibility to place both men and women referred from the same source without waiting for a single-gender bed to open, and Lynn's Essex County location keeps this Breed Street address within reach of the North Shore's treatment and transit network.
