Sober living houses, also called sober homes and sober living environments, are facilities that provide safe housing and supportive, structured living conditions for people exiting drug rehabilitation programs. Sober houses serve as a transitional environment between such programs and mainstream society. With room for 30 residents, the Loreto House has access to resources including medical care, addiction support services, therapy with a licensed clinical social worker, housing and employment services and educational opportunities. Both lunch and dinner are also provided daily to each resident. The Loreto House is a safe and highly structured environment based on the philosophies of peer recovery which includes the belief that there are multiple pathways to recovery and wellness, and that recovery does happen.
