Ashton Avenue Men's Sober House

About this Sober House

Ashton Avenue is a men's sober living home in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, part of the town of Falmouth in Barnstable County.

A Men's Sober House on Ashton Avenue

This sober house in East Falmouth adds to one of Cape Cod's largest concentrations of men's recovery housing. Several other certified men's residences operate within a few streets of this address, and East Falmouth as a whole has become a hub for sober living on the Cape, largely because of its stock of affordable year-round rental housing away from the beachfront.

Why East Falmouth Draws So Much Recovery Housing

East Falmouth's housing stock, along with its distance from the more expensive parts of Falmouth closer to the water, has made it an attractive location for sober living operators working across the Cape. That concentration gives a resident here more nearby peer housing and more operators familiar with the same referral sources than a more isolated Cape Cod address would offer.

What Massachusetts Certification Establishes

This address does not appear in the state's sober housing certification registry, though Massachusetts does not require certification for a home to operate lawfully. Certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing, where a residence carries it, commits the house to a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and an outside complaint process.

Falmouth and Barnstable County

Falmouth is one of Cape Cod's larger towns, with its own hospital, outpatient treatment providers and a ferry connection to Martha's Vineyard from Woods Hole. A resident at this address can reach most of what Falmouth offers without traveling toward Hyannis or off-Cape.
