A New Beginning 2 Men's Sober House

About this Sober House

A New Beginning 2 is a men's sober living home on Vesta Road in Dorchester, Massachusetts, in Suffolk County. It holds MASH certification at NARR Level II and has capacity for seven residents.

A Certified Men's Unit on Vesta Road

A New Beginning 2 is one of several certified units the operator runs at this Vesta Road address, each housing a separate group of seven men. That structure lets the operator keep individual houses small while still running a larger program across the property as a whole.

NARR Level II Certification

The unit carries certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing at NARR Level II, requiring a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules, and a documented relapse and discharge policy.

Part of a Larger Dorchester and Maple Street Network

The operator behind A New Beginning 2 also runs additional certified units on Vesta Road and a separate set of women's units on Maple Street, also in Dorchester. That range gives the organization room to place both men and women without sending anyone outside the neighborhood.

Recovery Housing in Dorchester and Suffolk County

Dorchester's density of outpatient providers, meetings and transit makes it one of the more practical Suffolk County neighborhoods for sober housing, and A New Beginning 2 draws on that same local network.
