A Men's Sober House on North Washington Street
This sober house in North Attleborough shares its program and its rules with the adjoining address, forming a single two-house household under Eamonn Lynch, who continues the organization his father Ron built over two decades.
What MASH Certification Establishes
Certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing, the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, commits the house to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and an outside complaint process.
A Phased Peer-Support Program
Residents move through structured peer support, Alcoholics Anonymous involvement, and a later mentorship phase as a "Senior Peer," with stays running up to a year and individual and group therapy available alongside legal and family support.
Beyond the House
Group activities are part of the program, including softball, cookouts, and an annual canoe trip on the Saco River, giving residents a social structure that extends past the two North Washington Street houses.

The Association for Sober Living Inc. gives residents the tools and support they need to become sober. Living in their sober homes has turned the lives of many men around for the better. Upon entering the ASL, the primary focus is integration into a structured living environment. The residents are assisted in utilizing a peer support system made up entirely of fellow addicts in recovery.
Some highlights include:
Individualized Treatment - Length of substance abuse and addiction treatment varies with the needs of each resident. The resident may stay in their Recovery Houses up to one year if needed.
Sober Social Skills Enhancement - Residents are encouraged to participate with one another in social events such as softball, basketball, cookouts, weight lifting, camping, etc. The ASL sponsors a yearly canoe trip on the Saco River for all residents and graduates.
