Moving The Pieces Women's Sober House

About this Sober House

Moving The Pieces is a sober living home for women in Brockton, Massachusetts, in Plymouth County.

A Women's Sober House on Fuller Street

This sober house in Brockton serves women in recovery from a residential street in the city's core. Brockton is one of Plymouth County's largest cities, with a dense network of bus routes and commuter rail service into Boston that keeps most jobs and appointments reachable without a car.

What Voluntary Certification Means in Massachusetts

Massachusetts does not require a sober home to certify with the state, and an uncertified house can operate and advertise legally. Certification through the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing is voluntary, but it gives a resident or family a written record of fees, rules and a complaint process to check independently.

Recovery Housing in Plymouth County

Brockton anchors the northern end of Plymouth County and functions as a regional hub for outpatient care and community services. Women's recovery housing in the city tends to draw from that same regional pull.

What to Ask Before Moving Into This Brockton Sober House

Anyone applying to Moving The Pieces should ask whether the house currently holds MASH certification, what the weekly fee covers, and how the house handles a relapse or a discharge. Given how thin the public record is otherwise, that written checklist is the most reliable tool available before committing to a move-in date.
