123 House South Men's Sober House

About this Sober House

123 House South is a men's sober living home in Brockton, Massachusetts, in Plymouth County, operated by 123 House and certified at Level II by the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing.

A Men's Sober House on Copeland Street

123 House South sits on the opposite side of Brockton from the operator's North Avenue property, giving 123 House two distinct footholds in the city rather than one. The house serves men in recovery under the same single-gender structure the operator uses at all five of its addresses.

Level II Certification

The Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing certifies 123 House South at Level II, a standard that requires a published code of ethics, disclosed fees and rules before move-in, and an outside complaint process independent of the house.

Part of a Five-House Network

123 House runs five certified men's homes across Holbrook, Brockton, Taunton and Attleboro, all under one contact. A resident at Copeland Street who eventually wants a different town has four other addresses to ask about without switching operators.

Recovery Housing in Plymouth County

Brockton is the largest city in Plymouth County and the county's center for jobs, courts and treatment providers, which is why the operator maintains two houses here rather than one. A man leaving treatment elsewhere in the county tends to end up in Brockton for exactly those services.

Applying to Copeland Street

Certification obliges the operator to answer specific questions before move-in: what the weekly fee covers, whether a house manager lives on site, and how relapse is handled. Those answers apply the same way at 123 House South as at any of the network's other four houses.
