Sozo Life Ministries Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Sozo Life Ministries is a men's sober house in Hartwell, Georgia, the seat of Hart County. It holds Level II Type M (Monitored) certification through the GARR Network and runs a faith-based program for men in recovery.

A Men's Sober House in Hartwell

Sozo Life Ministries serves men in recovery under a monitored certification model, relying on house rules and peer accountability to carry the daily structure. Hartwell is a small lakeside county seat on the shore of Lake Hartwell, near the South Carolina border in northeast Georgia.

A Faith-Based Ministry Model

The house is organized as a ministry, and its name signals that faith is central to the program: spiritual practice runs alongside the daily structure a monitored residence requires.

What GARR Level II Certification Establishes

Certification commits the house to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of fees and house rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and outside complaint review. Georgia does not license recovery residences directly, so certification is the record a resident can verify.

Recovery Housing in Hart County

Hart County sits in the far northeast corner of Georgia, and Hartwell serves as its civic and commercial center. Certified recovery housing options are scarce in this rural corner of the state, which makes a certified address in the county seat a meaningful anchor for residents from the surrounding towns.
