About this Recovery House
Valor Addiction Recovery House is a men's sober living home in Marietta, Georgia, in Cobb County. It is certified through GARR and built around a simple stated belief: that there are no throwaway people.
A Men's Sober Living Home on Booth Road
The house sits on Booth Road SW in Marietta, a residential stretch of Cobb County's largest city. Men living there share a single-gender house, meaning house meetings, bathrooms and common space follow one set of rules for one population, and the program frames recovery around connection and community as much as abstinence.
What GARR Certification Establishes for This Recovery Residence
Certification through Georgia's GARR network commits Valor to a published code of ethics, written disclosure of house rules and fees before move-in, and a complaint process a resident can use outside the house itself. Georgia does not license recovery residences, so that voluntary standard is the clearest record a family has to check before a man moves in.
Accountability and Community as the Program's Core
The house's stated philosophy, that there are no throwaway people, shows up as an emphasis on peer accountability: residents are expected to support each other through the day-to-day work of staying sober, not just follow a set of house rules. That structure suits someone who has already been through detox or treatment and needs a stable, accountable household more than clinical supervision.
Sober Living in Cobb County, Georgia
Marietta is the seat of Cobb County and one of metro Atlanta's larger suburban cities, with the job market, transit and outpatient providers of a full-sized city inside a shorter commute than downtown Atlanta itself. That combination is a common reason men choose Cobb County recovery housing over an address closer to the city center.
Applying to Valor Addiction Recovery House
Admission runs through the house directly. Since the program leans on peer accountability more than a formal treatment schedule, worthwhile questions include how new residents are paired with the existing house, what the code of conduct actually requires day to day, and how the house handles a resident who relapses.
