This sober house serves men only, run under the Vero Sober Living name by owner John Chamberlain, who holds the state's Certified Recovery Residence Administrator credential, a designation that belongs to the person managing a residence, not to the residence itself. A house manager oversees day-to-day operations on site.

A Credentialed Administrator, Not a Certified Residence

The Certified Recovery Residence Administrator credential comes from the Florida Certification Board and belongs to the individual who runs a house, distinct from a Florida Association of Recovery Residences certification, which belongs to the residence. Having a CRRA-credentialed owner is a meaningful signal about how a house is managed, but it does not by itself establish that the residence holds FARR certification. Vero Beach is the seat of Indian River County and the county's main population and service center on Florida's Treasure Coast. That gives residents access to the county's outpatient providers, courts and job market without needing to travel to a larger city elsewhere on the coast.

Applications go through Vero Sober Living directly. A prospective resident should ask about current bed availability, the house manager's day-to-day expectations, and the residence's current FARR certification status, since that is a separate question from the owner's own CRRA credential.
