The RASE Project
About The RASE Project
The RASE Project is a recovery community organization based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, running peer support services, certified recovery specialist training and recovery housing across Dauphin County and beyond.
A Statewide Recovery Community Organization
RASE operates differently from a typical sober living company. Housing is one program inside a larger organization that also trains certified recovery specialists, runs peer support services and connects people in recovery to case management. That structure means a resident gets access to a support network beyond whoever else lives in the house.
Recovery Housing as Part of a Larger Continuum
RASE's Harrisburg housing sits alongside its recovery support and advocacy work, giving residents a path to case management and peer mentoring through the same organization that manages their housing. Few standalone sober living operators can offer that level of integration.
Serving Dauphin County and Central Pennsylvania
Harrisburg is Pennsylvania's capital and the seat of Dauphin County, and RASE's presence there puts residents within reach of state offices, the county courthouse and a concentration of outpatient treatment providers that serve central Pennsylvania. People leaving treatment or incarceration elsewhere in the region often land in Harrisburg first for exactly that reason.
What Pennsylvania Certification Would Add
Pennsylvania's Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs licenses recovery houses on a voluntary basis, and the state's alliance of recovery residences publishes no address-level roster. Certifying a Pennsylvania recovery residence would formalize RASE's housing under a published code of ethics on top of the recovery support work it already runs.
