The Brook Retreat
About The Brook Retreat
The Brook Retreat is a sober living operator running gender-specific Twelve-Step Immersion programs in Massachusetts, with a men's program in Plympton and a women's program in Weymouth.
A Twelve-Step Immersion Operator
The Brook Retreat structures both of its programs around a Twelve-Step Immersion model, with structured daily programming, 24-hour supervision, drug and alcohol testing, and employment counseling built into house life.
Separate Men's and Women's Programs
The Brook Retreat operates two gender-specific sober living programs:
- Brook Retreat for Men, in Plympton, in Plymouth County.
- Brook Retreat for Women, in Weymouth, in Norfolk County.
Keeping the men's and women's programs in separate towns lets each run its own daily schedule built for its residents.
A Different Model for Each Program
The men's program runs a Three-Phase Twelve Step Immersion structure with daily programming and testing. The women's program incorporates weekly yoga and fitness, daily meditation, and fitness training three times a week, and it is facilitated by women with their own lived experience of addiction and recovery through the Twelve Steps.
Serving Plymouth and Norfolk Counties
Plympton offers a quiet, rural setting in Plymouth County outside Boston, while Weymouth sits on the South Shore in Norfolk County, close to the city itself. The two locations give The Brook Retreat a footprint on both sides of Boston's southern suburbs.
Reaching The Brook Retreat
Applications go through The Brook Retreat directly, with admission handled separately for the men's and women's programs. Ask about the phase structure, the daily testing and supervision schedule, and what employment counseling looks like in practice before enrolling.
