About Serenity Recovery Network
Serenity Recovery Network is a sober living operator in Cincinnati, Ohio, running certified recovery housing for men and women in Hamilton County.
A Cincinnati Recovery Housing Provider
Serenity Recovery Network grew out of the work of Angie Edwards, who began supporting women in addiction recovery more than a decade before the organization formalized its partnership with her program in 2009. The network is led by an executive director and operates two houses, one for each gender, out of Cincinnati's East Price Hill area.
Serving Men and Women Separately
Serenity Recovery Network runs its houses as separate, single-gender households:
- Angie's House of Freedom & Miracles, on Warsaw Avenue, for women.
- Serenity House, on Elberon Avenue, for men.
Each house has its own on-site coordinator, and keeping the genders in separate buildings lets house rules, meetings and shared space be written for one population at each address.
Certified Through Ohio Recovery Housing
The women's house carries Supervised-level certification through Ohio Recovery Housing, and the network is also recognized as Recovery Friendly by Hamilton County. Certification commits the operator to a published code of ethics, written fees and rules disclosed before move-in, and a complaint process outside the house.
Serving Hamilton County
Both houses sit in Cincinnati's East Price Hill area, close to downtown, and residents of either house draw on the same dense concentration of outpatient providers, courts and employers that Hamilton County concentrates in the city.
